Individuals Change History True or False?

Throughout history it always seems to be the individual who makes great changes for humanity and leads the way. Let us investigate and have a little inquiry into how this truth / or not plays out in reality.

Can individual people actually change the course of history? We definitely think that this statement is true. If you really think about it, a lot of the most revolutionary ideas or concepts start from single people. Think of Mr. Les Paul, for example. He had the idea to create a guitar design that would work well with an amplifier, inventing the first solid body electric guitar. He was mocked by the companies at the time, and never taken seriously.

His idea, however, took off and as they say, the rest is rock history!.. And we like it!

Eventually, Gibson decided to manufacture the iconic “Les Paul” model, which became the most popular guitar in the world and changed music as we know it.

Another example? Gandhi, famous for his philosophy of peace and let us not forget his distinctive eyewear, was essentially a single person fighting for a cause he believed in. Almost single-handedly, he helped India become a better nation and truly inspired millions of people around the world by standing up to the full power of the British empire and the ruling elite.

If an individual with a sheet wrapped around his torso and some cool looking eyeglasses can change history what are most people lacking? Maybe some self belief, a good wardrobe and a stylish piece of vintage eyewear?

Individuals have the power to pursue ideas and come up with new concepts that can inspire the masses. Another example - Elvis Presley. He was one of the first white performers to embrace his love for black music, even in a time when segregation was still very much a reality of life in the USA.

Elvis had a passion for blues, gospel, and R&B, and he did not care about race: he knew that the music of the black community had a strong value, and loved it deeply! With the open-mindedness of one single stylish individual, rock and roll became a sensation and helped bring people closer together. It also did help that Elvis looked awesome with his stunning eyewear and outlandish outfits. It was a massive part of his persona.

Style of the individual in character and dress will always play a part and have an effect on others.

We should never judge a book by its cover but we all do in one way or another to different degrees.

“In the last analysis, the essential thing is the life of individual. This alone makes history, here alone do the great transformations take place, and the whole future, the whole history of the world, ultimately springs as a gigantic summation from these hidden source in individuals.”   Carl Jung

We believe that to be true! We also know that the chosen ones might be in a bespoke suit or a loin cloth, ...but certainly wearing a unique set of vintage eyeglasses!
